Ammar Yasir Calls for Closure of Pakistan Embassy in Kabul Following Attack on Addiction Treatment Hospital

Ammar Yasir, a former member of the Qatar political office, reacted to the attack on an addiction treatment hospital in Kabul by suggesting the possibility of retaliatory measures and demanding the closure of Pakistan’s embassy in the capital. He attributed the attack to the “military regime of Pakistan” and stated that those responsible should expect subsequent consequences.
Yasir wrote on the social media platform X that, given the recent incident, the continued operation of Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul is unjustifiable. In his view, diplomatic missions should symbolize friendship, commitment, and mutual service between countries.
He added that under current circumstances, what Pakistan has done violates these diplomatic principles. These remarks come amid growing reactions and concerns about the security of civilian centers in Kabul following the attack on the healthcare facility.
