Abdullah Condemns Pakistan Airstrike on Kabul Addiction Treatment Hospital

Abdullah Abdullah, head of the High Council for National Reconciliation in the former Afghan government, strongly condemned Pakistan’s airstrike on a specialized addiction treatment hospital in Kabul. He described the attack as a violation of the principles of good neighborliness and international law.

He emphasized that targeting a healthcare facility, especially in a civilian area, is unjustifiable under any circumstances and could have serious humanitarian and legal consequences. According to him, this strike constitutes a blatant breach of widely accepted international norms.

Abdullah added, “We believe that the only solution to such issues lies in dialogue and the use of diplomatic measures.” He stressed the necessity of resolving tensions through political channels and dialogue among countries.

At the same time, this incident has once again highlighted concerns about the security situation and the protection of civilian facilities in Afghanistan. Critics say the Taliban administration is responsible for effectively safeguarding the airspace and public facilities and must provide clarity and accountability in response to such attacks.
