Taliban Says Pakistan Will Face Consequences for Attacks in Kandahar

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban administration, stated that last night’s attacks by Pakistani forces on two areas in Kandahar province caused no casualties. However, he emphasized that this action “will not go unanswered” and Pakistan will face repercussions.

According to Mujahid, the attacks targeted a rehabilitation center for drug addicts and an empty container within the premises of a former military base. He stressed that no one was inside the container during the attack and no one was harmed.

The Taliban spokesperson described the action as “aggression and malevolence” and warned that Pakistan would face the consequences of its actions. Pakistani officials have not yet provided an official statement regarding the details of this incident.

This event occurs amid rising security tensions along the Durand Line, which has strained relations between the Taliban administration and Pakistan in recent months. Despite repeated Taliban claims of maintaining security, such incidents raise questions about how the situation is being managed and how the escalation of tensions in border areas can be prevented.
