Pakistan Confirms Taliban Drone Attacks on Quetta, Kohat, and Rawalpindi

The Pakistan Army has confirmed in a statement that Taliban drone attacks targeted locations in the cities of Quetta, Kohat, and Rawalpindi. The strikes took place on Friday, although Pakistani officials have not provided further details on the extent of the damage.
This development came after the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense announced that, in response to Pakistani airstrikes on civilian areas in Afghanistan, it targeted several Pakistani military centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as well as in Islamabad.
The renewed tensions between the two sides have raised concerns over the escalation of conflict along the border line, which has witnessed armed clashes and exchanges of fire repeatedly in recent years. Residents of border regions have frequently complained about the vulnerability of residential areas in such incidents.
The Taliban administration has not yet released independent details regarding casualties or possible damage resulting from these attacks. Observers warn that the continuation of such retaliatory actions could further complicate the region’s security situation and negatively impact the lives of civilians on both sides of the border.
