Alcohol Production Factory Discovered and Destroyed in Jawzjan Province

Authorities in Jawzjan Police Command announced that police forces, following a targeted operation in the province, identified and dismantled an alcohol production factory. During the operation, 127 liters of wine and 300 liters of fermented raisins were also seized.

According to the information provided, one individual has been arrested in connection with the incident and will be referred to judicial and legal institutions after preliminary investigations. So far, no further details about the identity of the arrested person or the factory’s operations have been released.

Jawzjan, a northern province of Afghanistan, has seen reports in recent years of the discovery and destruction of alcohol production and storage centers in some areas. The Taliban administration has previously banned the production and sale of alcoholic beverages and has announced measures to address similar cases.
