Iran Increases Export of Essential Goods to Afghanistan, Records New Transfer Levels

The Iranian Embassy in Kabul has announced that the allocation and transfer of essential goods from Iranian ports to Afghanistan have reached a new level, setting a new record in this regard. This news was reported citing Iran’s First Vice President in an official statement.

According to the statement, Iranian officials stated that the volume of essential goods transported through the country’s ports to Afghanistan has increased. No further details regarding the types and quantities of these goods were provided.

Additionally, Iran’s Minister of Roads reported that the loading of cargo trucks at Iranian ports has risen by 53 percent compared to the period before the conflicts. He described this increase as a sign of growing transit and transportation activities at the ports.

Iran is considered one of the key transit routes for importing essential goods into Afghanistan, with a significant portion of Afghanistan’s market needs being met through Iranian ports.
