Turkey’s IHH Charity Official Meets Taliban Foreign Minister to Discuss Humanitarian Aid in Afghanistan

Abdullah Altay, head of humanitarian diplomacy at Turkey’s IHH Charity Foundation, met with Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban administration’s Foreign Minister, to discuss the foundation’s humanitarian activities in Afghanistan.

According to a statement published by the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides talked about the progress of aid delivery and how to continue the foundation’s work in various sectors. No further details about the topics of the discussion have been released.

The statement noted that Amir Khan Muttaqi expressed appreciation for the humanitarian assistance provided by IHH and described the activities of Turkish charities in Afghanistan as valuable. He also welcomed the continuation of these organizations’ work across different regions of the country.

IHH is among several Turkish charitable organizations that have been active in Afghanistan in recent years, providing aid and executing programs in some provinces.
