Over 4,000 Residents of Panjshir Register to Fight Pakistan Amid Rising Tensions, Taliban Office Says

The Taliban’s security command spokesperson in Panjshir has announced that amid escalating tensions between the Taliban and Pakistan, 4,176 residents of the province have registered to be deployed to conflict zones.
Hakmal Saeed stated that these individuals have voluntarily signed up with the aim of confronting Pakistani forces, and the registration process is still ongoing. According to him, this move follows intensified clashes along the border line between the two sides.
In recent days, reports have emerged of increased tension and exchanges of fire at some border points, raising concerns over the potential spread of insecurity in neighboring areas.
The deployment of volunteer forces from the provinces comes at a time when continued border clashes could have broader security and humanitarian consequences for local residents. So far, the Taliban administration has not provided further details about how these individuals are being organized or their possible fate in the war zones.
