Border Clash in Paktika; Afghan Forces Destroy Pakistani Tank

Taliban officials report that Afghanistan’s defense forces targeted and destroyed a Pakistani armored tank along the Paktika province border before noon today.

According to Hamdullah Fetrat, the incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. near the area beyond Angur Ada, located in Shkin district of Paktika province. He claimed that the tank had been firing “indiscriminate rounds” towards Afghan territory before being targeted.

Angur Ada is considered a sensitive border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan and has previously witnessed tensions and skirmishes. So far, Pakistani authorities have not responded to this claim.
