Pakistani Shelling in Kunar Kills 9 Civilians

Local sources in Kunar province report that Pakistani forces shelled residential areas in the city of Asadabad, resulting in the deaths of nine civilians and injuries to four others. According to these sources, the incident occurred around 10:30 PM last night in the Dandona area of central Kunar. The shells struck residential homes, and all victims were civilians. Eyewitnesses added that in addition to human casualties, the residents of the area also suffered financial damages. Kunar province, located in eastern Afghanistan along the border with Pakistan, has been a site of occasional border tensions and conflicts in recent years.
