Six Arrested as Taliban Seize Silver and 290 Watches in Spin Boldak, Kandahar

Officials from the 205 Al-Badr Corps affiliated with the Taliban announced that their forces seized a quantity of silver and 290 valuable watches last night in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province. According to them, six individuals have also been arrested in connection with the case.
Nazeer Shakib, spokesperson for the 205 Al-Badr Corps, stated that these items were obtained during a nighttime patrol in the Ma’azel area of Spin Boldak. He added that the arrested individuals were attempting to transfer these goods to Pakistan.
Spin Boldak is one of the border districts of Kandahar with Pakistan and has always been a route for movement and goods transportation. Despite repeated declarations by the Taliban administration to combat smuggling, local residents have repeatedly expressed concerns about the spread of illegal activities in some border areas.
The Taliban administration has not yet released further details regarding the identities of those arrested or how the case will be handled.
