Nine Students Killed or Injured in Nighttime Attacks by Pakistani Army

The Ministry of Education has announced that as a result of nighttime attacks by the Pakistani army on parts of Paktika and Nangarhar provinces, eight students have been killed and one student injured.
According to the ministry’s statement, in the Bermal district of Paktika province, one student from Farouqia School in the village of Morghi was wounded during these attacks. Additionally, in the Gardikach area of the Behsud district in Nangarhar province, eight students lost their lives.
The statement noted that among the deceased students, five were boys and three were girls. No further details have been released regarding the condition of the injured student or the exact circumstances of the incident.
So far, Pakistani authorities have not responded to this incident. Cross-border attacks between Afghanistan and Pakistan have previously caused civilian casualties, including children and students, raising concerns among residents of the border areas.
