Local Officials Visit Families Affected by Pakistani Airstrike in Nangarhar

Following an airstrike by Pakistani forces on Gardikach area of the Behsud district in Nangarhar province, 23 civilians have been killed or injured. According to released information, the bodies of 13 out of 18 reported dead have been recovered so far, with efforts ongoing to find the remaining victims. Local Taliban administration officials in Nangarhar announced that a delegation of officials has visited the affected families and rescue teams have been instructed to provide urgent assistance to these families. This incident has raised serious concerns about civilian casualties in border areas. Local residents have demanded the security of residential areas and prevention of such attacks from recurring. Behsud district is one of the eastern districts of Nangarhar located near the border line with Pakistan and has previously experienced border tensions.
