The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Afghanistan announced that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 1,000 food packages in Paktia province on Wednesday and Thursday, corresponding to the 29th and 30th of Dey. According to a statement from the embassy, these aid packages were distributed to needy individuals in cooperation with the Al-Tawheed organization. Of the total packages, 443 were delivered in Gardez city, the capital of Paktia, and 557 others were distributed in the Zarmat district of the province. The statement noted that this effort is part of the “Food Security and Emergency Assistance in Afghanistan” plan for the years 2025 to 2026. This plan is considered a component of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian programs aimed at supporting vulnerable families in Afghanistan. Additionally, on Tuesday, the 28th of Dey, the center had distributed another 1,000 food packages in Khost province. The King Salman Foundation has also launched the distribution of dates among returning refugees in observance of the month of Ramadan. These aid efforts come amidst a situation where millions of Afghan residents continue to require urgent humanitarian assistance.
