Five Killed in Collision Between Freight Truck and Passenger Bus in Ghazni

Local officials in Ghazni province report that a collision between a freight truck and a passenger bus on the Kabul-Kandahar highway has resulted in five fatalities and one child injured.

According to a statement issued by the Ghazni provincial police command under Taliban administration, the incident occurred on Monday in the Ab Band district.

The collision happened when the freight truck struck the passenger bus on this busy highway. The injured child was taken to a medical center for treatment.

Officials have attributed the cause of the accident to reckless and careless driving. The Kabul-Kandahar highway is one of the country’s main transit routes and witnesses similar traffic incidents annually.
