According to the ministry, the main focus of the meeting was ensuring security, preventing smuggling, and facilitating the movement of travelers and traders between the two countries.

The Ministry of Interior’s statement highlighted that both sides exchanged views on providing necessary facilities for travelers in border areas and creating ease for traders in the joint market. Preventing various forms of smuggling was also cited as a significant topic discussed during the meeting.

At the session, Abdul Manan Hassan emphasized the importance of regular and healthy coordination between neighboring countries and stated that border police forces are committed to ensuring security and preventing illegal activities. The Taliban administration’s remarks on strengthening security measures come as smuggling and border management remain major challenges in the border regions.
