Former Pakistani Envoy Asf Drani Urges Concrete Action for Stability in Afghanistan

Drani also reiterated claims that security threats emanate from Afghan soil towards Pakistan and some other countries—an assertion previously made by Pakistani officials.

The Taliban administration has repeatedly rejected these claims, asserting it will not allow Afghanistan’s territory to be used against other countries. However, the persistence of these concerns indicates that the Taliban government has so far failed to fully earn regional trust in managing security threats.
