Afghan Liberation Front Attacks in Takhar; Four Taliban Members Killed or Injured

The Afghan Liberation Front has announced that a targeted attack in Taloqan city, the capital of Takhar province, resulted in four Taliban members being killed or injured. According to the front, this incident took place on Wednesday evening, February 11, 2026, in the area under the sixth security district.

Based on the released information, the attack occurred around 6:30 PM near a gathering of Taliban forces on Takhar University Road. The Liberation Front claims that in this operation, two Taliban members were killed and two others wounded.

It further stated that a Taliban vehicle was also destroyed during this attack. The Taliban administration has not yet made an official statement regarding the incident.

Takhar, located in the northeast of the country, is one of the provinces that has seen increased activity from groups opposing the Taliban administration in recent months. The continuation of such events indicates that security challenges persist over time, and the Taliban government has not been able to establish comprehensive and sustainable stability across all regions of the country.
