Roof Collapse in Kandahar Kills Four Members of a Family

Local sources in Kandahar province report that the roof of a residential house collapsed last night, resulting in the deaths of four family members.
According to these sources, the incident occurred on Friday evening, the 10th of Dalw, in the Ghabi Kalcha area of Daman district. All victims were members of the same family and were inside the house when the accident happened.
Local sources attribute the cause of the incident to heavy rainfall combined with the building’s dilapidation; a problem that recurs in many areas due to poverty, lack of adequate shelter, and limited access to safe construction materials.
Despite the increase in such incidents during the rainy season, the Taliban administration has yet to announce a clear and specific plan to improve the safety of vulnerable homes or provide immediate aid to affected families, raising concerns among local residents.
