Nigel Farage Reacts to TikTok Video by Afghan Migrant Amid Threat Concerns

Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform Party in Britain, expressed serious concern on Tuesday, October 15, during his testimony in court, over a TikTok video posted by an Afghan migrant. Farage stated that the video featured actions resembling gunfire, which he interpreted as threatening. The footage was shared by Fayyaz Khan, an Afghan migrant known on social media as “Mada Pasa,” in response to Farage’s anti-immigrant views.

Fayyaz Khan posted the video on TikTok in October 2024 as a reaction to a YouTube video by Farage criticizing migrants. Khan urged Farage to remove that video. In the TikTok clip, Khan, who has a tattoo of a Kalashnikov on his face, mimicked gunfire sounds, repeatedly saying “pop, pop, pop” while making shooting gestures.

Farage described these gestures as a direct threat, heightening his security concerns. Following Farage’s complaint, British authorities detained Fayyaz Khan.

Khan, who has been residing in Sweden since 2019 and attempted an unsuccessful illegal entry into Britain last October, denied any threat during interrogation. He claimed his sole intention was to attract his followers’ attention and that he had no intention of harming anyone.

He also rejected accusations of “threatening to kill,” describing himself as a “TikTok user” and a “harmless individual.” This incident highlights the ongoing pressures and sensitivities faced by Afghan migrants in Europe, especially in contexts where figures like Farage promote strict anti-immigration policies. Meanwhile, the Taliban administration, by enforcing repressive policies instead of creating a safe environment in Afghanistan, has spurred further exodus of the country’s citizens.
