UNICEF Warns Against Fraudulent Charges for Humanitarian Aid; Taliban Arrest Seven in Khost for Running Fake Organization

On Wednesday, 24th of Jadi, UNICEF announced on X that it has received reports of scams involving individuals attempting to sell fake registrations for humanitarian aid. The agency emphasized that all United Nations aid is provided free of charge and based solely on actual need. UNICEF urged the public to be vigilant, avoid sharing personal information with strangers, and not to pay any money to access assistance. Meanwhile, the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a seven-member group in Khost province. The individuals have been accused of running a fake organization and extorting money from the public. The Ministry stated that the detainees include the group’s ringleader, four women identified as doctors, one computer operator, and one driver.
