Silk Road Road and Bridge in Nimroz Inaugurated

Local officials in Nimroz province have announced the completion and inauguration of a road and bridge known as the “Silk Road Bridge,” extending to the province’s customs area. The project, costing 15 million Afghanis, is now in use.

According to officials, the project includes a 2.5-kilometer road accompanied by a bridge, aimed at improving transportation and facilitating the movement of goods along this route.

Local authorities added that the funding for this project was provided by the Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Al Thani Arab Charity Foundation, and the construction was carried out under the supervision of the acting governor of Nimroz.

Given Nimroz province’s border location and its role in commerce, the development of transport infrastructure is seen as crucial for boosting economic activities and improving access to services for the local population.
