Official Import of Amazon Products in Afghanistan Creates Jobs for 29 People

An active e-commerce store in Afghanistan has announced that by officially importing Amazon products, it has created job opportunities for 29 people and delivers orders to citizens in both Afghanistan and Iran.

Employees in the Amazon division of this company say that the process of receiving and shipping goods is organized so that packages, after traveling a long distance, reach customers in the shortest possible time. These services cover various cities across Afghanistan as well as Iran.

Mohammad Mustafa Seddiqi, the CEO of this store, says that since 2019 they have been striving to provide Afghan citizens with access to Amazon products. According to him, the company, in cooperation with its headquarters in Dubai, registers orders directly and ships them to customers in Afghanistan and Iran.

Seddiqi adds that Dubai has been chosen as the closest Amazon hub to Afghanistan, and orders are managed from there. He emphasizes that alongside Afghan compatriots, Iranian citizens are also customers of this store, and their packages are sent from Dubai to their destinations.

This store has now become one of the main points of contact for customers who either visit to place orders or to receive packages that have traveled thousands of kilometers to reach Kabul. This process continues despite existing restrictions, which still pose challenges to Afghan citizens’ access to global markets, and such initiatives can help mitigate part of this gap.
