Oman Transport Minister Meets Taliban Transportation Official in Muscat
Saeed bin Hamoud bin Said Al Mawali, Oman’s Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, met with Hamidullah Akhundzada, the Taliban’s head of transport and aviation, in Muscat for talks.
According to a statement from Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, the two parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in transport, logistics services, and ways to strengthen these collaborations.
The statement noted that the main focus of the talks was exploring opportunities to develop cooperation in aviation and land transport, sectors that play a crucial role in regional travel, trade, and communications.
Hamidullah Akhundzada arrived in Oman on Tuesday leading an official delegation. Official sources stated that the purpose of the visit is to strengthen and expand working relations between the two sides in aviation and land transport.
