Taliban Interior Minister Praises Kabul Mayor’s Efforts in Official Meeting

The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior has announced that Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Minister of Interior, praised Mawlawi Abdul Rashid Baloch, the Mayor of Kabul, for his efforts in urban reconstruction and development during an official meeting.

According to the ministry, Mr. Haqqani focused on issues of urban security, order in Kabul areas, and national development in his remarks, evaluating the Kabul municipality’s activities within this framework.

Additionally, the Interior Minister commended the coordination and what he described as “achievements” among the Kabul police commander, the head of intelligence, and the commander of Kabul’s central corps.

These statements come amid the Taliban administration’s ongoing claims of their achievements; however, independent organizations and Kabul residents remain largely uninformed about the criteria, plans, and actual impact of these measures on everyday life.

According to released information, the ceremony was attended not only by the Interior Minister but also by Mullah Mohammad Yunus Akhundzada, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development; Sheikh Hamdullah Numani, Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology; Mawlawi Ahmad Jan Bilal, General Director of Emirate Companies; and several other Taliban officials.
