Leader of Pakistan’s National Awami Party Criticizes Military’s Approach to Afghanistan

The leader of Pakistan’s National Awami Party has issued a serious critique of the country’s military policies and stance towards Afghanistan, describing them as irresponsible.

Aimal Wali Khan stated that Pakistan’s military officials tend to attribute almost every security incident within the country to Afghanistan without conducting proper investigations or presenting credible evidence. According to him, this approach not only fails to resolve issues but also escalates tensions.

In another part of his remarks, he referred to the situation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, calling the current treatment of them unfair. He warned that mistreatment and pressure on refugees will have long-term negative consequences for Pakistan itself.

The National Awami Party leader cautioned that the continuation of these policies, especially toward Afghan refugees, will ultimately become a serious problem for Pakistan, something he described as a “bone stuck in Pakistan’s throat.”
