First Shipment of Industrial Machinery Exported from Herat to Tajikistan

The first shipment of industrial machinery and equipment used in lime, gypsum, and cement factories has been exported from the Herat Industrial Park to Tajikistan. This shipment, valued at 350,000 US dollars, is being presented as the beginning of a larger export contract.

Mauroof Mohammadi, head of Dej Foolad company and exporter of this machinery, stated that the shipment includes a complete package of smoke purification systems, preheating furnace, lifting system, billet conveyor belt, crushers, a full cooling package, and material storage silos, all sent piece by piece to Tajikistan.

He said that the total export contract for these industrial equipments to Tajikistan is worth 1.2 million US dollars, and the current shipment counts as the first phase of this contract.

Meanwhile, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, Deputy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade under the Taliban administration, welcomed this export and said that necessary investment facilities have been provided for industrialists, and the value of Afghanistan’s domestic production exports has reached about two billion US dollars. He also emphasized creating a balance between imports and exports but did not provide further details.
