Over 2,300 Narcotic Tablets Seized in Kabul’s Shahr-e Naw District

According to information released by the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, the special anti-narcotics forces of the administration arrested two individuals along with 2,300 narcotic tablets during several operations in Kabul’s Shahr-e Naw area.
The authorities stated that after initial investigations, these individuals will be referred to judicial institutions for their cases to be processed following the established legal procedures.
Although the Taliban administration frequently emphasizes intensifying its fight against narcotics, residents of Kabul and monitoring organizations have repeatedly expressed concerns over the continued easy access to narcotics and the expanding sale of these substances in some urban areas—a matter that calls for greater transparency, accountability, and more sustainable actions from responsible institutions.
