Taliban Fighters Execute Civilian in Panjshir’s Abshar District

Local sources report that a resident of Abshar district in Panjshir, identified as Din Mohammad, was shot dead by Taliban members on Saturday, September 27, in the mountainous village of Qala-Tari.

According to the sources, who requested anonymity, Din Mohammad had gone hunting when Taliban fighters spotted him carrying a weapon. Without investigation or questioning, they opened fire and killed him.

The incident has fueled concern among local residents, who say the Taliban bypass legal processes and resort to extrajudicial killings instead of judicial proceedings.

So far, the Taliban authorities in Panjshir have not commented on the killing. Panjshir has repeatedly witnessed violent confrontations between Taliban forces and civilians since the group’s takeover.
