Four High School Graduates Killed in Road Accident in Jawzjan Province

Local sources in Faryab province have reported that four graduates of Arabkhana Experimental High School in the city of Maimana were killed in a traffic accident on the Sheberghan-Andkhoy highway in Jawzjan province. The teenagers had traveled with friends to Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, to celebrate their graduation, and the accident occurred during their return journey to Maimana.

According to the sources, the incident took place yesterday evening in the Khwaja Doko district, along the Sheberghan-Andkhoy route. In addition to the fatalities, two other individuals were injured. The exact cause of the accident remains unclear, and the Taliban authorities have not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.

In recent years, the poor condition of roads, narrow highways, lack of adherence to traffic laws, and driver negligence have been identified as the main factors contributing to the rise in traffic accidents across Afghanistan. The failure to address these issues and the lack of serious attention by the Taliban administration to road safety have led to repeated tragedies like this.
