Israeli Soldiers Targeted in Northern Hebron as Violence Persists in West Bank

Palestinian sources have reported that fighters from the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, carried out an attack on Israeli troops in the Beit Ummar area of northern Hebron. The attack, which involved the use of an improvised explosive device, caused damage to the Israeli forces.
Local sources speaking to Al Jazeera said that following the explosion, Israeli soldiers raided several homes belonging to Palestinian residents in the town of Beit Ummar, sparking fear and anxiety among the local population.
The incident occurred shortly after the Israeli military announced the conclusion of its ten-day military operation in the West Bank. According to verified reports, more than thirty airstrikes were conducted during the operation across different areas, resulting in the deaths of a number of Palestinians and the arrest of several others.
Although a ceasefire has been declared in the Gaza Strip and mediators are working to initiate its second phase, Israeli forces and Jewish settlers have continued their assaults and incursions across various parts of the West Bank. These actions have raised concerns among international observers and human rights activists.
