Death Toll and Injuries in Gaza War Surpass 74,000, Palestinian Health Ministry Reports

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that since the outbreak of the war on October 7, 2023, the number of deaths in the region has risen to 74,615, with injuries reaching 175,899. In the past 24 hours alone, the bodies of six new martyrs, including five who recently lost their lives and one who succumbed to previous wounds, have been transferred to Gaza hospitals.
During the same period, 27 injured individuals were admitted to health centers in the area. The Palestinian Ministry of Health noted that since the ceasefire announcement on October 11, 2023, 1,599 people have been killed, and 5,774 others have been wounded. Additionally, 847 bodies of martyrs have been recovered from under the rubble and various locations across the Gaza Strip within this timeframe.
The new statistics highlight the ongoing severe humanitarian crisis and catastrophic consequences of the war on Gaza’s population, as health facilities are under immense pressure and struggling to meet the needs of the wounded and the families of the deceased. This critical situation underscores once again the urgent need for international attention and an immediate halt to the violence.
