Pakistani Forces Shoot Dead Two Children in Torkham, Injure Two Civilians

Sayed Tayeb Hammad, spokesperson for Nangarhar Police Headquarters, reported the killing of two children as a result of gunfire from Pakistani military forces in Khan Abad village, along the Durand Line in Torkham district. The incident occurred on Wednesday and, in addition to the two children martyred, two other civilians were injured. According to Hammad, one of the injured is a local resident and the other is an employee of a charity organization called “HARO.” The shooting incident by Pakistani forces in this area once again highlights the ongoing security instability along Afghanistan’s eastern borders and underscores the tragic consequences for people living near these regions. While residents of these areas are constantly exposed to the dangers arising from border tensions and clashes, such incidents increase the vulnerability of civilians and raise concerns about the protection of their lives and safety.
