Taliban Officials Meet Malaysian Parliament Speaker to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation
Mawlawi Ghulam Haider Shahamat, General Director of Technical and Vocational Education under the Taliban administration, and Obaidullah Akhundzada, Head of the Diplomacy Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Tan Sri Johari Abdul, Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament.
The meeting, which was also attended by the Head of Foreign Communications of the Technical and Vocational Education Department and the Afghan ambassador to Malaysia, focused on expanding bilateral cooperation and exploring joint opportunities across various fields.
Such meetings are significant given the Taliban administration’s ongoing international challenges due to restrictive policies and the lack of widespread recognition.
Afghanistan’s relations with different countries, particularly in education and diplomacy, are of considerable importance but still require further improvement and consolidation.
