Afghanistan, Turkish education group discuss expanding health cooperation

Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Health, Noor Jalal Jalali, has discussed expanding cooperation in the health sector with a delegation from Medipol Hospitals and the Turkish Education Group.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, the Turkish delegation presented its proposals and plans for building a specialist hospital for patients, ambulance emergency services, the exchange of health expertise, and the implementation of training programmes.
The health minister expressed hope that cooperation would increase and stressed that Afghanistan’s health sector needs greater efforts.
Jalali also said the Ministry of Public Health is ready to move forward with joint projects alongside partner health organisations. Improving health conditions in Afghanistan remains one of the public’s main concerns because of a lack of facilities and security challenges.
