Trump blasts Norway after Nobel Peace Prize snub
Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, has lashed out at Norway with harsh words and strong criticism after failing to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
He called Norway “terrible” and “dirty,” and, while making allegations against the country, criticised the Nobel Prize being awarded to Navi Pillay, a former United Nations official. Trump claimed that many people had not heard his name before the award was given and asked whether two Nobel Prizes could go to one person.
In addition, according to international media reports, Trump has claimed that Norwegian immigrants are not welcomed in the United States because Norway did not give him the Nobel Prize.
These claims come as Trump had previously repeatedly tried to draw attention to himself by making repeated appeals for the Nobel Peace Prize as well as the Pulitzer Prize. His actions have drawn wide reaction from users and media outlets. Trump has also claimed that his writings deserve a Pulitzer Prize; however, he has not received either award so far.
