Two Philippine training planes crash, killing four pilots

The Philippine Air Force said on Saturday that four pilots were killed when two SF-260 aircraft crashed during a training flight near an air base in Lipa City, Batangas province. The incident occurred on Friday at 3:51 p.m. local time.
Following the incident, all SF-260 flights by the Philippine Air Force were temporarily suspended to investigate the cause of the crash. The SF-260 is a light aircraft used mainly for pilot training.
The accident was similar to one that occurred on May 20 this year, when one of the aircraft of this type crashed in the mountainous Benguet region, killing two pilots.
