Taliban Acting Water and Energy Minister Visits Riyadh Energy Exhibition

Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, acting minister of water and energy for the Taliban administration, along with a delegation from the ministry, visited the World Energy Exhibition on the sidelines of the 17th Global Energy Forum in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

According to Bakhtar news agency, the Taliban administration’s Ministry of Water and Energy said Mr. Akhundzada became acquainted at the exhibition with modern technologies, advanced equipment and global technical innovations in the fields of energy production, transmission and distribution, as well as renewable energy.

During the visit, he described it as important for Afghan professional staff to gain global experience, become familiar with new technologies and identify new opportunities for the development of the energy sector.

The visit took place on the sidelines of the 17th Global Energy Forum, an event that also includes specialized exhibitions related to production, transmission, distribution and renewable energy.
