Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Airstrike on Southern Syria as ‘Blatant Aggression’

Saudi Arabia has condemned a deadly Israeli airstrike on the Beit Jinn area in southern Syria, describing it as a ‘blatant act of aggression.’ The area, located near Damascus, was targeted in a strike that reportedly killed at least 20 people.

In an official statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Riyadh’s firm opposition to any Israeli military operations on Syrian territory, stating that such attacks pose a serious threat to Syria’s security and stability.

The statement further called on the United Nations and members of the Security Council to take a stand against the repeated military assaults and urged them to uphold the sovereignty of Syria and protect its citizens, particularly those living in border villages.

Saudi Arabia also emphasized the importance of enforcing international resolutions and laws that safeguard the territorial integrity of nations and ensure the safety of civilians in conflict zones.

The continuation of Israeli military operations inside Syria has raised concerns over increasing instability in the region, with the silence of the UN Security Council and other global institutions drawing renewed criticism over the international community’s inaction.
