National Resistance Front Says It Killed Taliban Member in Badakhshan

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan says its forces killed one Taliban member and wounded two others in an attack on a Taliban checkpoint in the Kuran wa Munjan district of Badakhshan province.

The group said its forces returned to their positions after the operation.

In a statement published on Saturday, Oct. 11, it said the attack took place around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, in the Anjoman area and targeted a Taliban border checkpoint.

The National Resistance Front said it continues its attacks in different parts of Afghanistan and said the aim of these attacks is what it described as ‘liberating the people and the country from the illegitimate rule of the Taliban.’ These claims have not been independently verified.
