Taliban Supreme Court Delegation Visits Kapisa to Review Courts
The Taliban-run Supreme Court says Muhammad Qasim Rasikh, its deputy head, has led a delegation to Kapisa province to review the work of the local courts and meet with officials from the local administration.
According to the Taliban Supreme Court, a meeting was held at the start of the trip with Kapisa local administration officials. The body said the purpose of the meeting was to ensure greater coordination and cooperation between local administrations and judicial departments.
In a speech to court members, Muhammad Qasim Rasikh said: “This system is a great trust in the hands of you and me. We must act with complete honesty and sincerity in preserving this trust, so that God forbid, the day does not come when we are ashamed before future generations.”
He also claimed that Afghans had long wished to live under the umbrella of a single Islamic system, and that this wish has now been fulfilled. The deputy head of the Taliban-run Supreme Court also advised court officials to treat petitioners kindly, listen to their problems, and handle their cases better and on time.
The Supreme Court is one of the main judicial institutions in the Taliban administration and is responsible for overseeing the courts. Kapisa province is located northeast of Kabul.
