Floods Damage Farmland and Homes in Khas Kunar District

Local sources in Afghanistan’s eastern Kunar province say floods on Friday caused heavy financial losses for residents in Chamiari village in Khas Kunar district.
Zia-ur-Rahman Spin Ghar, the information official at the Taliban-run Department of Information and Culture in Kunar, told Tolo News that around 150 jeribs of agricultural land were destroyed in the incident and 30 houses were also damaged.
He did not say anything about possible casualties or provide further details about the incident.
Khas Kunar is one of the districts in Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan, where in some seasons residents face financial losses in agriculture and housing because of heavy rainfall and floods.
