United Front Says Taliban Morality Official Killed in Kabul

The United Front has said that a Taliban morality official has been killed in the city of Kabul. The front said the incident took place in Security District 18 of the capital.

In a post on its X account on Wednesday, 11 Sunbula, the United Front said the man was named Qari Aghagul and worked in the Taliban administration’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. It did not publish further details about how the incident occurred.

According to the United Front, the morality official had played a role in harassing Kabul residents. The Taliban administration has so far not issued a response to the claim.

A day earlier, the United Front had also claimed that it carried out 43 attacks over the past month in 14 provinces against Taliban forces. Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital, has repeatedly seen similar claims in recent months about attacks on Taliban forces.
