Houthi leader calls attacks on Iran, Lebanon and Yemen part of US-Israeli plot

Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, described attacks on Iran and Lebanon, the violation of Syria’s sovereignty and strikes on Yemen as part of what he called “US and Israeli conspiracies.”

He made the remarks in a speech marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, saying decisive action was needed to stop what he called “the crimes of the Zionists” against the Palestinian people. According to him, these measures are necessary to end the oppression of Palestinians and prevent the imposition of Israel’s will.

In another part of his remarks, al-Houthi said the people of Yemen attach special importance to the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday and mark the occasion every year with large events and gatherings. According to Al-Masirah, the speech was delivered at a ceremony in Yemen held to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
