322 Afghan Migrants Return Home After Release from Pakistan Jails

The Taliban administration said 322 Afghan migrants who had been held in prisons in Pakistan returned to Afghanistan during the week after being released.
In a statement, the Taliban’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said 309 of the individuals entered the country through the Torkham crossing, while another 13 arrived in Afghanistan via the Spin Boldak route in Kandahar province.
According to the ministry, the returnees included families, children and others who were transferred to Afghanistan after their release.
The Taliban administration also said humanitarian assistance was provided to these individuals before they were moved to their areas of origin.
Torkham is one of the main border crossings between Afghanistan and Pakistan in the east of the country, while Spin Boldak is also considered one of the most important border transit routes in southern Afghanistan.
