Afghan-Iran Joint Chamber Chief Urges Iranian Investors to Engage in Afghan Economic Projects
Kamaluddin Towhidi, the head of the Afghanistan–Iran Joint Chamber, called on Iranian investors to participate in various economic sectors of Afghanistan during his visit to Iran. He made this appeal at the “Economic Cooperation Opportunities with Afghanistan” meeting held in Alborz province, describing Afghanistan as possessing significant potential for foreign investment. According to Iran’s national broadcasting agency, the meeting focused on expanding ties between the private sectors of both countries, increasing joint investments, and developing trade exchanges. The head of the Afghanistan–Iran Joint Chamber emphasized that opportunities across diverse economic sectors can pave the way for new collaborations between Afghan and Iranian investors. This meeting comes amid Afghanistan’s recent efforts to strengthen its economic relations with neighboring countries and create an environment conducive to foreign investment.
