Taliban Announces Second Phase Registration for Pension Payments Starting April 2026

The Taliban administration has announced that the second phase of registration for pension payments to approved retirees will commence on April 10, 2026, and will continue until December 31 of the same year.

According to the acting Minister of Finance of the Taliban administration, the first phase of registration included retirees from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior, while the second phase will cover other eligible individuals. Pension payments are considered a legal right for former government employees and are vital for the livelihood of many retirees.

The Ministry of Finance has asked citizens to check their names on a dedicated retirees’ webpage before visiting in person and to come only if their names appear on the announced list.

Since the political changes in 2021, the process of pension payments has faced interruptions and modifications, causing uncertainty for retirees regarding how and when to receive their entitled funds.
