First Shipment of Herat Stone Exported to the United States

The press office of the Taliban administration in Herat announced that the first export shipment of stone from this province, valued at $100,000, has been sent to the United States. According to the office, this shipment includes black stone extracted from the mine in Zindajan district, and it was exported by a private company. The Taliban administration added that the export process for this shipment was conducted through the Herat Chamber of Industries to the American market. Herat is one of the important provinces in the extraction and processing of construction stones, and it supplies a portion of Afghanistan’s mineral product exports. The Taliban administration claims that the export of this shipment could pave the way for a greater presence of Afghan stone in new markets.
