Panjshir Signs Contract for Sale of Medicinal Plants Worth Nearly One Million Afghanis

The Panjshir Provincial Media Office announced that a contract for the sale of four types of medicinal plants from the province has been signed through an auction, valued at nearly one million Afghanis.

According to a statement issued by the office, the plants include fingernail (Panjangisht), Kamal resin (Shire Kamal), Lerok, and Khinekah. These wild plants grow across approximately five thousand hectares in various areas of Panjshir.

The growth areas for these plants cover the districts of Shotol, Rokha, Anaba, Hissa Awal, Paryan, and the provincial center of Panjshir (Bazark).

The Panjshir Media Office further added that, so far, 39 types of medicinal plants have been identified in the province, and Panjshir holds significant potential in natural resources and the production and exploitation of medicinal plants.
