Fire in Herat Industrial Park Contained, Preventing Spread to Other Companies

The Herat Security Directorate announced that a large fire at the Noor Ariana paper and cardboard manufacturing company in the second phase of Herat Industrial Park has been brought under control, preventing its spread to other companies.

According to officials, the incident occurred at 3:12 a.m., and firefighting forces quickly arrived at the scene to control the blaze. Their swift action prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring companies within the industrial park.

Preliminary estimates indicate no casualties from the incident; however, financial damages are estimated at approximately 20 million Afghanis.

Officials also stated that due to the effective efforts of the firefighting teams, assets valued at nearly 650 million Afghanis were saved from fire damage. Herat Industrial Park is considered one of the major production centers in western Afghanistan, hosting the operations of dozens of companies.
